Detoxification of the organism with medicinal herbs

Flor de Arena

Hercampuri

From the perspective of holistic medicine, regular cleansing of the organism is an integral part of the care of solid health. Our ancestors knew it well and therefore regularly carried out cleansing, whether in the form of consuming herbs in certain seasons or, for example, in the form of different fasts.

The possibilities of cleansing the organism among South American natives studied among others and the Peruvian ethnologist and doctor doc. Villavicencio Vargas. He presented his many years of experience with the Primer Curso Nacional de Plantas Medicinales y Fitoterapia FITO 2001 organized by the Instituto de Phytoterapia Americano in Lima.

We  offer this information here in English translation also to you:

Purification or detoxification means the process by which the removal, release or reduction of toxins in the organism, or changes in metabolism through various natural stimuli, is achieved. Many of these toxins are deposited in our body over the years, causing many different diseases including symptoms that do not have any particular disease. These are signs of organ poisoning, which the body presents in various forms (non-specific symptoms). That is why we have people who complain of insomnia, tiredness, tingling and rashes, bitterness in the mouth, acidity, headaches, abnormally expanding spots on the face and body, and many other symptoms that doctors usually have a skeptical look

Toxins are of dual origin - external and internal.

External toxins  (of external  origin) are those that act on our organism through the respiratory system (smoke from chimneys, automobiles, cigarettes), skin and mucous membranes (colors, insecticides, etc.) and via the digestive tract (food and liquids predominantly contaminated or in poor condition, containing flavorings and preservatives, artificial dyes, excess animal proteins, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, and others).

Internal toxins  (of internal origin) are those that are formed directly in our body. They may have links to various diseases, infections such as typhus fever, jaundice, and also to metabolic diseases such as diabetes, urine, and the like. There is also a very common occurrence of toxins originating from the internal tension of the organism, stress, despair, or depression. It is a response to the dangers that produce excess adrenaline, serotonin and other metabolites in the body, as we know, for example, from chronic fatigue syndrome where there is excessive stimulation of the adrenal medulla which produces excess adrenaline and noradrenaline.

In the area of psychoneuroimmunology, the importance of the relationship between the emotional and physical state of the individual has been demonstrated, giving the scientific basis of the so-called consciousness studies: relaxation therapy, biofeedback, psychophysiological regulation, diagnostic and therapeutic imagination or creative thinking.

To achieve cleansing, the human organism uses a comprehensive response mechanism, dependent on the control center and regulation. These are organs and structures that have a generally recognized cleansing capacity, such as the liver, kidneys, intestines, skin, mucous membranes and lungs, and it is clear that it is the human body that chooses the most appropriate organ for performing this cleansing function, looking for balance with its surroundings, which ensures the correct way of eliminating toxins while maintaining the proper functioning of the organism.

In this spirit the plants with cleansing effect remove toxins by their natural  ways for the organism.

Dr. Oscar Villavicencio Vargas, Ex-President Sociedad Peruana of Alternative Medicine y Complementaria (SPEMAC), Associate Professor of the National Complementary Health Insurance Medical Program (ESSALUD)
